چکیده
افزایش روزافزون تعداد کاربران شبکه اینترنت موجب افزایش ترافیک در این شبکه شده است. یکی از مواردی که می تواند علاوه بر شبکه های زمینی به انتقال اطلاعات بپردازد ماهواره ها هستند از این رو پای ماهواره ها هم به این عرضه باز شدهاست. نگهداری می کند تا در صورت درخواستهای آینده برای همان اطلاعات نیازی به بازیابی مجدد آ>ها از شبکه نبوده و بتوان آنها را مستقیما از حافظه بازیابی کرد. با توجه به حافظه محدود به کار رفته و وجود ترافیک بالا مسایلی همچون نحوه مدیریت اطلاعات درون cache بسار مهم است یکی ازمهمترین شاخصه های آن سیاستهای جایگزینی استفاده شده در cache است این سیاستها نحوه برخودر با اطلاعات داخل cache در لحظه ورود اطلاعات جدید را تعیین می کنند. در این پایان نامه سیاستهای مختلف caching و کارایی هر یک با استفاده از معیاریهای hit rate و byte hit rate مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و سعی شده تا تفسیر مناسبی برای این معیارها در بهره گیری آنها در مدیریت شبکه نیز ارایه شود. این تفاسیر به صورت ویژه در مورد شبکه ماهواره ای با همبندی های متفاوت نیز ارایه شده است. pre fetching عبارت است از بازیابی اطلاعات یا هر چیز دیگر قبل از اینکه درخواستی برای آن وجود داشته باشد. بازیابی اطلاعات برقراری ارتباط اطلاعت dns از جمله مواردی هستند که می تواننند قبل از وجود درخواستی برای آنها توسط الگورتهای مختلف pre fetching برای افزایش بازده شکبه انجام می شوند این موارد ممکن است همیشه هم مفید نباشند و حتی به صورت معکوس از بازده شبکه بکاهند. الگوریتمهای مختلف pre fetching مورد بررسی قرار گرتفه است . در مورد لینکهای ماهواره استفاده از http pre fetching دارای بیشترین اثر خواهد بود.
